Ocean Park Hong Kong - November 2015

By Kimberlene Ericka - 12:45:00 PM

Not so long ago, my fiance and I went to Ocean Park! Oh, boy we did enjoy! If you're looking for extreme rides you should try and visit this place.

I am actually not that brave to begin with...but I am young and what's not to try?!

I've been to OP many times already and I don't get tired of it! The excitement I feel during the rides are literally "to die for".... You'll die of too much adrenaline rushing all over you! Hahaha!

When is the best time to visit Ocean Park Hong Kong?

I prefer the ber months, not too cold not too hot. You'll want to scream all day long so spending your winter in Ocean Park isn't a good idea. Bring along water to keep you hydrated! :)

How much pocket money is needed?

Depends on how you splurge...

Souvenirs: HK$ 100.00
Meals: HK$ 100.00

How much is the ticket/entrance fee?

Ages 12 up: HK$ 385.00
Ages 3 to 11: HK$ 193.00

Buying your ticket online will get you a cheaper price and hassle free at the Ocean Park website. You can also buy at the Admiralty Bus Terminal or in front of the Ocean Park itself.

How to get there?

We went there riding the bus as there is no MTR station yet but they are currently building it now. It's simple, from wherever you are you can take MTR or buses going to Admiralty station and ride the bus number 37B. You will easily know where to alight as the name of your next bus stop will be written in front and it's impossible not to see the incredibly large property of Ocean Park!

Activities inside the amusement park:

There's a variety of activities you can enjoy at OP. It falls to different categories such as animals, rides, shows and others. For a depth explanation on the different attractions inside OP here is the link in their website: http://www.oceanpark.com.hk/en/park-experience/attractions

Our favorites are listed below:

1. Sea Jelly Spectacular and Shark Mystique both in Marine World.

2. The rides

Hair Raiser

 Arctic Blast

The Dragon

Mine Train

Thank you to David Jellis and The Theme Park Review for the videos above.

Some of the best rides also includes: The Flash, The Abyss, The Rapids, Raging River and Crazy Galleon.

3. The Shows

Symbio: The Fountain Show near the Entrance of OP is the last show they produce before the amusement park closes. It is in Cantonese and translated to English afterwards. The water effects and technology used were incredible!

The Ocean Theatre also boost the very talented dolphins!
